Sunpower extends slim DIN rail product family

Sunpower has released the second series of the slim DIN rail product family, designed to meet demand for high-performance DIN rail power supplies.
The SDR-480 is available with 24VDC or 48VDC outputs and is claimed to feature 94 per cent or more of high efficiency.
It can provide 480W continuously or 720W for three seconds at temperatures up to 60C, using only free air convection.
With a built-in active PFC function, the SDR-480 is a full input range switching power supply that fulfils the requirement of EN61000-3-2 for harmonic current.
The 85.5mm width helps to save space on the rail and also makes it 51.8 per cent smaller in size compared to its predecessor models.
Other standard functions of the SDR-480 include DC OK relay contact, an on-panel light-emitting diode (LED) indicator and protection for short-circuit, overload, over-voltage and over-temperature.
To fulfil the requirements of marine- and semi-conductor-related usage, the SDR-480 also complies with GL and Semi F47 norms, in addition to UL, CUL, TUV and CE certificates.
Suitable applications include factory automation, semi-conductor fabrication equipment, marine-related installation and electro-mechanical applications with medium- to high-power demands.
The product has a universal AC input from 90V to 264V and dimensions of 85.5mm (width) x 125.2mm (height) x 128.5mm (diameter).
