Sunpower enhances 100W single-output power supply

100W single-output power supply

Sunpower has re-designed its 100W single-output power supply to make it more suitable for low-consumption and environmental-protection purposes.

The circuit features built-in PWM control IC, which brings the maximum output wattage to 110W (for 48V output) in a natural cooling environment.

The efficiency is also raised to a maximum of 86 per cent, according to the company.

All models use 150C long-life electrolytic capacitors and the power supplies work with operating temperatures ranging from -20C to +70C.

The protection ensures that, if over-voltage protection is activated, the power supply will go into shut-down and latch off.

Should overload protection or short-circuit protection be triggered, the power supply will go into 'hiccup' mode and auto-recover after the defect is removed.

Typical applications include programmable logic controllers, automatic controls, industrial controls, test equipment, printers, POS systems, electronic voting machines, franking machines, gambling machines and systems that require DC output-voltage power supplies.
