Puls offers the XT power supply units
Puls
Puls XT power supply units
The Puls XT power supply units are semi regulated AC/DC power supplies with a three phase input.
Unit options allow 300 - 460V AC or 360 - 552V AC input ranges.
All units are 960W with single 24, 36, 48 or 72V outputs.
Efficiency of the Puls XT power supplies is 96 per cent and MTBF figures are greater than 500,000 hours.
A single high efficiency bulk power supply and a selection of high efficiency DC/DC converters for individual voltage requirements is more efficient than using a number of lower powered less efficient AC/DC power supplies.
It also reduces costs in many ways.
For example, the cost of input wiring and fusing is lower for a single unit.
The price of a single bulk power supply and DC/DC converters is lower than for many AC/DC power supplies working in combination.
High bus voltage output for a complete system saves money and increases efficiency.
Using a higher voltage reduces wiring sizes as current levels are lower and heat build up in the wire is reduced.
The combination of a high efficiency power supply and DC/DC converters give a system efficiency of between 92 and 94 per cent.
