Powerpax launches desktop switching power supplies

The power supplies are very efficient in both active and standby modes, meeting EISA 2007 and Energy Star level V (CEC) compliance with no-load consumption of <0.5W and up to 94.5 per cent efficiency.

All units come with a two-year warranty as standard and feature short-circuit, over-load, over-voltage, and over-temperature protection.

These external AC/DC adapters operate from a 90-264VAC wide range input and have full safety approvals for world use.

They also have built-in active PFC, LED on/off indicator and are 100 per cent burn-in tested.

The switching power supplies measure 210 x 85 x 46mm.

These 220W units complement the selection of desktop switch-mode power supplies from Powerpax, which now features 14 ranges in total with ratings of 12, 15, 18, 24, 30, 40, 45, 50, 60, 65, 90, 120, 150 and 220W of continuous output power.

Powerpax plans to launch a 180W range later in 2009.
