Powerpax has launched a range of ultra-compact PCB-mount power supplies with maximum continuous output power ratings of 5W and 10W that meet medical EN60601-1 requirements.
The PD05-20BXX and PD10-20BXX series feature very low stand-by power consumption and high efficiency of between 70 and 80 per cent (depending on output voltage).
They offer isolation up to 6KV DC and an extremely small size, with the 5W series measuring just 50.8mm x 25.4mm x 15.16mm and the 10W models just 53.5mm x 28.5mm x 19mm.
All units have a universal wide range input of 85-264V AC.
Other features include short-circuit protection, over-temperature protection, low ripple and noise (EN55011) and UL and CE safety approval.
Output voltage options are 3.3V DC, 5V DC, 9V DC, 12V DC, 15V DC and 24V DC.
Stock is often available off the shelf with volume production lead times of two to three weeks typical.
