Dycon unveils D1500 switch-mode power supplies

Dycon

D1500 power supplies

Dycon has introduced the D1500 series of energy-efficient switch-mode power supplies.

The range is available in two versions - one version is ungraded for general purpose, while the other is EN compliant to satisfy PD6662 and EN50131-1 requirements (Grade 2 and 3).

Both versions offer the same high-efficiency rating and reliable design, covering a range of output currents.

To comply with the relevant EN requirements, the enclosure sizes reflect the need for differing-size rechargeable batteries.

For ungraded power supplies, the D15X8 allows a single power supply output to be split into up to eight individually fused outputs.

Each fuse is monitored and a red light-emitting diode (LED) lights up if a fuse fails.

The 80 per cent efficiency rating of Dycon's power supplies means that power consumption is halved, which results in energy saving for the end user and reduced pollution.

Its PSUs are small and lightweight and they also run cool - less energy is converted to heat, giving a longer lifespan for equipment and back-up batteries.

Both versions are available in a variety of current: 1A to 5A for the general-purpose power supplies; and from 0.5A (Grade 2) to 3A for the EN-compliant units.

The ungraded range is available in 12V and 24V and the EN-compliant power supply range comes only in 12V, which is suitable for intruder, access, CCTV and fire-power supply requirements.
