AC/DC power supplies ideal for medical equipment
Protek Power
PM202 and PU202 power supplies
Protek Power has introduced the PM202 and PU202 series of AC/DC power supplies for applications including patient vicinity medical devices, dental electronics and laboratory equipment.
The new power supplies, which are also suitable for commercial process control, communications and instrumentation applications, offer 200W design performance and compliance to EN60601-1 medical safety standards or EN60950-1 ITE safety standards.
The PM202 and PU202 series accept a 90-264VAC universal input.
Single-output models have voltages ranging from 12VDC to 48VDC.
The compact, low-profile (3 x 5 x 1.5in) footprint makes the PM202 and PU202 series ideal for designs with critical space constraints.
Units provide 150W of power in convection-cooled environments and 200W with forced-air cooling (user-provided or optional PM202-C/PU202-C factory versions).
The power supplies offer efficiencies up to 92 per cent, leakage currents as low as 220uA at 264VAC and 4,000VAC input-output isolation voltage for the PM202 series.
Comprehensive protection circuitry, including overvoltage and short-circuit protection, is inherent in the design.
EMC performance meets Level B standards and units have a mean time between failures of 300,000 hours at full load.
