Premo's planar transformers are claimed to offer a reduced size, high power handling, low losses, high reliability and low leakage inductance.
The transformers are particularly suitable for avionics companies for their high-efficiency, low-weight power supplies.
They are also said to be ideal for telecommunication and automotive applications with a performance and meantime between failures (MTBF) of more than 500,000 hours.
The product is designed following strict reliability criteria to achieve six-sigma failure rates, according to the company.
This avionics series is available in powers from 50W to 1,000W for redundant power supplies.
The transformers have an operating temperature range of -40C to +105C and a storage temperature range of -55C to +125C.
