Resistor suits low-heat electromotive applications
Ohmite
5W FCSL metal foil current sense resistors
Ohmite has launched a 5W version its FCSL metal foil current sense resistor range for low-heat electromotive applications.
The use of foil construction gives the FCSL the effective combination of very low and stable TCRs.
It is available in a selection of very low ohmic values.
Occupying the same industry-standard-size surface-mount footprint as the original components, the FCSL110 is available with resistance values as low as 0.001ohms.
Another new feature of the FCSL110 is the addition of side and back electrodes, which ensure better solder joint attachment and easier inspection of solder joint integrity.
Having a high resistance to heat, the resistors have an ambient operating temperature of -55 to 155C.
Standard, stocked resistance values and tolerances are 5W 0.001ohms at five per cent, 0.002ohms at two per cent, and 0.005, 0.010, 0.025 and 0.050ohms at one per cent.
FCSL110 will be sold on tape and reel only, with 1,000 pieces contained on 24mm-wide tape.
