Ohmite launches MCS Series of resistors
Ohmite
MCS Series
Ohmite's MCS Series of SMD flip chip resistors gives a low TCR of less than 50ppm/C over the range of current-sense values, which are used in portable battery-operated equipment and power supplies.
The resistors use metal-resistive elements made from nickel-chromium or cupron (manganin-copper).
The 1W and 2W packages are available with 1 per cent tolerance and 11 resistance values ranging from 5mohm to 50mohm.
The MCS Series resistors have long side electrodes to fulfil the most demanding current-sense applications, temperature coefficient characteristics and resistance versus temperature changes from 25C to 125C within 10ppm/C to 50ppm/C.
The low-inductance, low-thermo EMF (less than 50uV/C) characteristics of the MCS Series make it suitable for applications in industrial electronics, power supplies, DC/DC converters, AC/DC converters, motor controllers, automotive electronics, battery chargers, PC, PDA and 3C products, telecoms, instrumentation and white goods.
