Stackpole Electronics’ RNV high-voltage resistors
Now available from Digi-Key, Stackpole Electronics’ RNV high voltage, anti-moisture, thru-hole resistors are designed to handle high-voltage surges, up to 7KV for 50 surges per IEC 60065.14.1, as well as high humidity without significant resistance shift.
Digi-Key claims the RNV resistor can also endure prolonged exposure to high temperatures, such as during a high-temperature potting process, with no adverse effects on the stability or long-term reliability of the device.
The metal film resistor is suitable for use in video monitors, TVs and displays, as well as medical equipment and electronic ballasts for commercial and industrial lighting.
According to Digi-Key, it is also suitable for use in a wide range of power supply and control applications, power inverters and AC adaptors.
