VCOs control frequency in demanding environments
Crystek
TO-8 VCOs
Crystek has introduced a series of TO-8 VCOs (Voltage Controlled Oscillators) to provide high-performance frequency control in harsh, demanding environments.
Crystek's CVCOT8BE line features a full-functioning VCO in a rugged, hermetically sealed TO-8 package to protect the VCO from moisture, contaminants and other environmental elements.
The metal-can construction features gold-plated pins with no internal wire bonds for enhanced signal integrity.
Two models are currently available: the CVCOT8BE-2100-2200 (2,100-2,200MHz) and CVCOT8BE-2400-2500 (2,400-2,500MHz).
Additional models can be configured from 1 to 5GHz in bands.
These VCOs feature a typical phase noise of -101dBc/Hz at 10KHz offset and excellent linearity.
Tuning sensitivity is rated at 55MHz/V.
Pulling and pushing are minimised to 11MHz and 1MHz/V, respectively, and second harmonic suppression is -15dBc typical.
The CVCOT8BE VCOs feature a control voltage range of 0.5-4.5V, with an input voltage of 8V.
Maximum current consumption is 25mA and output power is 0dBm.
Crystek's TO-8 VCO line has an operating temperature range of -40 to 85C.
