TFC launches semi-encapsulated power inductors
Total Frequency Control
Power inductors
Total Frequency Control (TFC) has launched vertical-mount, semi-encapsulated power inductors designed for use in the input or output sections of switch-mode power supplies.
The inductors are suitable for applications such as mobile phone chargers, computer power suppliers and lighting applications.
By providing a nominal 2:1 inductance swing, the power inductors are said to be suitable for, and commonly used with, a switching regulator to form a switch-mode power supply.
TFC said that all materials meet the flammability requirement of UL94V-0 and at maximum current have an operating temperature range of -55C to +105C.
Standard box sizes are now available in multiples of 200-500 units with a standard selection of designs and custom designs on request.
