Euroquartz has announced the release of the ultra-miniature low-profile CX18 crystal from Statek.
The Statek CX18 has overall dimensions of 1.55 x 0.95 x 0.35mm and a typical weight of 1.8mg.
The CX18 has a target frequency range of 30MHz and higher with samples of 50MHz versions available immediately.
The ultra-miniature crystal is housed in a package with glass lid and is available in tight tolerances around 5ppm.
The Statek CX18 is said to be ideal for any application in which board space or clearance is at a premium.
Examples of potential applications include medical, military, industrial, mobile communications and smart cards.
