Xpresso oscillators
Fox Electronics has expanded its Xpresso oscillator series to include a 2.5V LVPECL VCXO version in a 5mm x 3.2mm package, with a frequency range from 0.75MHz through 1GHz.
The FVXO-PC52 oscillators are suitable for use in Sonet, 10GbE, fibre channel, wireless repeaters, transponders, HDTV, FPGAs, data acquisition and military communications.
The Fox Xpresso oscillators and VCXOs utilise a range of application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), designed and developed by Fox, with a key focus on noise-reduction technologies as well as lower levels of jitter.
The FVXO-PC52 oscillators employ a third-order delta sigma modulator (DSM) to reduce noise to levels comparable to traditional bulk quartz and SAW oscillators.
The technology used enables the optimum selection of the output type, input voltages and temperature performance features.
The LVPECL VCXOs offer a frequency resolution to six decimal places, an absolute pull range (APR) of +50ppm and operating temperatures of -20C to +70C or -40C to +85C.
The oscillators are fully RoHS compliant, have a tri-state enable/disable feature, and are constructed with a gold-over-nickel termination finish.
In addition, this series offers Fox's serial identification system with comprehensive traceability to ensure quality control.
All finished Xpresso parts are 100 per cent final tested.
The LVPECL VCXO versions offer shorter lead times and are guaranteed to be shipped within 24 hours for samples and within 10 days for production quantities.
