Fox expands XpressO oscillator series

The FVXO-PC72 oscillators have a 7 x 5mm package size and a frequency range from 0.75 MHz through 1.0 GHz.

They are ideal for use in any application requiring an oscillator, including SONET, Ethernet, storage area network, broadband access, microprocessors, DSPs, FPGAs, industrial controllers, test and measurement equipment and fibre channel applications.

The cost-effective Fox XpressO oscillators and VCXOs use application specific integrated circuits (ASICs), designed and developed by Fox, with a focus on noise reduction and lower levels of jitter.

The FVXO-PC72 oscillators employ a third order Delta Sigma Modulator (DSM) to reduce noise to levels comparable to traditional bulk quartz and Saw oscillators.

The technology used in these oscillators enables the optimum selection of the output type, input voltages and temperature performance features.

The LVPECL VCXO versions offer shorter lead times and are guaranteed to be shipped within 24 hours for samples and within 10 days maximum for production quantities.

The LVPECL VCXOs offer a frequency resolution to six decimal places, an absolute pull range (APR) of +50 ppm and operating temperatures of -20C to +70C or -40C to +85C.

These oscillators are fully RoHS compliant, have a tri-state enable/disable feature and are constructed with a gold over nickel termination finish.

They contain Fox's serial identification system with comprehensive traceability to ensure quality control.

All finished XpressO parts are final tested.
