Upgraded Roxburgh EMC brand

DEM Manufacturing's Roxburgh EMC brand of EMI filters has been upgraded from the fourth to UL's fifth edition, three years ahead of the fifth-edition legislation going into effect.

DEM has increased the short-circuit rating capability of its filters to exceed that stated in UL1283 and now meets the UL508C standard fault current levels.

This capability best serves the drives, power conversion and industrial power-circuit sector, which demands use on higher available fault-current power lines.

At the same time, DEM has upgraded its Roxburgh three-phase filter range with the addition of 420A, 620A and 820A bus bar filters.

Available up to a 690V version, the filters are suitable for all industrial and commercial applications, including machine tools, drive automation and controls, welding equipment and other high-current three-phase applications.

These higher-current KMF filters are available with IP20 terminal covers to ensure that system compatibility is supported with EMC testing.

Thermal fuse enhancements are also available for additional safety monitoring in hazardous or high-reliability applications.

The whole KMF product family now offers a range of specifications from 6A to 820A, making it both cost-effective and flexible for light and heavy industrial filter applications.

The performance enhancements to this range are part of the Roxburgh design team's continuing efforts to expand product capabilities.

The Roxburgh EMC range of EMI filters is also approved to Canadian standards, in which the filters have undergone extensive climactic endurance tests.
