Tyco adds connector suite to Z-pack Tinman range
TE Connectivity
connector suite
Tyco Electronics has expanded its Z-Pack Tinman backplane product portfolio with an 85- Ohm connector suite.
This line of connectors is designed for the PCI Express Generation 2 standard, and other applications where matching connector impedance to an 85-Ohm system impedance is desired.
This connector also permits system designers to maximise the benefits of lower system impedance, such as reduced PCB thickness/cost and less signal reflection, as a result of fewer impedance discontinuities.
The 85-Ohm connectors offer the same performance as the standard Z-Pack Tinman product family, except in an 85-Ohm impedance package.
Initial sizes offered are 3-pair and 5-pair modules in right angle and vertical configurations, with additional sizes to follow.
Samples will be available later this month.
