Schrack RT-i
The Schrack RT-i power high-inrush relay is designed to handle peak inrush currents up to 800A.
A high end member of the RT family, the Schrack RT-i power high-inrush relay from Tyco Electronics is designed to handle peak inrush currents up to 800A.
With a rated carry current of 16A, the relay is capable of switching a variety of capacitive and lighting type loads, especially incandescent and fluorescent lamps.
Key design features include: a single normally open (N/O) contact design with a tungsten premate to absorb the inrush current energy and silver tin oxide carry contacts; reinforced insulation; ambient operating temperature to 85C; 10mm coil contact clearance; 5kV dielectric strength; and inrush peak current ratings of 800A for 200us (fluorescent lamps) and 165A for 20ms (incandescent lamps).
The RT-i power relay has an industry standard footprint that enables an easy upgrade and replacement path as well as compatibility with other Schrack relays in the Tyco Electronics product range.
Both monostable 400mW DC coil and bistable/latching versions are available, with the bistable versions offering an optional manual operator switch to facilitate circuit test.
Environmentally friendly, the power relay meets RoHS and WEEE requirements, meeting all the latest requirements for lead- and cadmium-free components.
