Motor protection PTCs
ATC Semitec is now stocking a range of motor protection PTCs to complement its existing range of resettable thermal cut-outs.
The SPMP PTCs are available with trip temperatures ranging from 60C to 190C and comply with the DIN 44081 industry standard.
The small PTC bead is protected with epoxy resin and a shrink sleeve.
The sensing head has a 4mm maximum diameter and gives a thermal response of less than five seconds.
The standard version has 200mm-long 26AWG PTFE leads, with longer leads, triplet versions (to DIN 44082) and various mounting options also available.
Although primarily designed for electric motor protection, these small PTC sensors offer a solution to electrical and electronic circuits that require a simple step-function response to an over-temperature condition.
