AVX has developed a medium-power capacitor series that features high-frequency operation with a low stray inductance.
The FFVS Series medium-power capacitors are designed for applications that require high-frequency ripple (greater than 100kHz) DC filtering for induction heating.
The FFVS Series offers a broad range of voltage and capacitance values including: 600V capacitors available in capacitance values of 22, 90, 140 and 195uF; 800V devices that are rated at 58, 92 and 128uF; and 900V models at 34, 40, 65 and 90uF.
FFVS Series capacitors are said to be reliable and have an extended operating life due to the dry polypropylene dielectric technology feature.
Typical applications include wind power, solar power, hybrid vehicles and medical power supplies used in X-ray, CT and MRI, as well as nuclear imaging equipment.
