Omnivision
OV7740 notebook webcam
Omnivision Technologies has introduced the OV7740 notebook webcam developed specifically to address the low-light sensitivity demands of the notebook PC market.
The low power, small profile OV7740 delivers 6800mV/lux-sec sensitivity to optimise performance and improve image quality.
Featuring a 4.2-micron pixel based on OmniPixel3-HS technology, the OV7740 provides the functionality of a single-chip camera in a 1/5in optical format, ideal for helping notebook PC manufacturers meet constrained space requirements.
The OV7740 is capable of operating at 60 frames per second (fps) in VGA resolution and 120 fps in QVGA resolution with complete user control over image quality, formatting and output data transfer.
It supports a digital video parallel port, and provides full-frame, sub-sampled, windowed or scaled 8-bit/10-bit images in RAW RGB and YUV formats.
