CM series of CMOS camera modules

The CM series of camera modules are based on CMOS image sensors that offer greatly reduced power consumption compared with conventional CCD sensors.

New from Digital Displays, the CM series of camera modules are based on CMOS image sensors that offer greatly reduced power consumption compared with conventional CCD sensors.

This makes them particularly suited to for battery powered applications, such as PDAs and mobile phones.

The sensors have a high sensitivity of 0.9V/lux-s for low ambient light operation and feature an array resolution of 1304 x 968 or 1300 x 1028 depending on the model.

The modules support a variety of formats including SXGA, VGA, QVGA, CIF and QCIF.

Built-in image control functions include automatic gain control, automatic exposure control, automatic white balance and automatic black-level calibration.

Image quality adjustments are available for colour saturation, hue, gamma, sharpness and antiblooming.

The CM series of CMOS camera modules with their compact dimensions, only 6.5mm thick, accurate colour rendition, sharp image and low power consumption are suitable for many applications including, access control, security systems, ATM system monitoring, AV phones, PDAs and mobile phones.
