Fujikura to show optical fibre identifiers at ECOC
Fujikura
Fujikura FID-25/26R optical fibre identifiers
Fujikura Europe is to launch optical fibre identifiers at ECOC in Vienna.
The FID-25R and FID-26R allow signal identification using G.657 bend-insensitive fibres and can isolate a weak tone signal under a strong traffic signal.
Other features include: Single detector head for 0.25 to 3.0mm coated fibres; optical power meter range of +10 to -60dBm featured on FID-25R; 15 user-selectable test modes for a variety of field applications; and a new fibre-clamping head design requiring short-excess testing length of the optical fibre.
The FID-25R and FID-26R have been designed to give easy access to the target fibre in confined spaces and automatic operation, achievable by clamping the fibre.
The design has also focused on making the LCD screen and LED illuminations easy to read in all conditions.
