Yi series LED
Everlight Electronics has introduced the Yi series of high-power, high-brightness and economic LEDs designed for use in applications such as general, indoor and outdoor and commercial lighting.
The Yi series LED offers 5W power consumption in a compact ceramic package.
It is a four-chip device with very low thermal resistance as a result of the ceramic substrate.
The series is a surface-mount high-power device featuring high brightness combined with a compact size (6 x 6 x 4.28mm) that is suitable for all kinds of lighting applications, including retrofit bulbs, decoration and entertainment lighting, and automotive illumination.
With the capability of 700mA driving currents, the Yi series can be driven up to 5W.
The minimum luminous flux (lm) of the 5W Yi can be up to 400lm at 6,500K (CCT) or 325lm at 3,000K (CCT) when driven with 700mA current.
The thermal pad of this device is electrically isolated providing convenience in thermal electrical design.
The Yi series also has the advantage of low thermal resistance, according to Everlight.
Yi LEDs have a wide view angle with 105deg in order to provide users more variety to install in their lighting fixtures, with fewer components but with the same brightness.
