Ultra-white LED has simplified thermal management

Osram Opto Semiconductors

Ultra-white Oslon SSL LED

The ultra-white Oslon SSL LED from Osram Opto Semiconductors measures 3 x 3mm and has a typical luminous efficacy value of 100lm/W.

Its properties provide the basis for high application efficiency thanks to high efficacies at high currents, simplified thermal management, high reliability and a beam angle of 80deg.

The LED provides light that is ideal for spotlights, desk lights and ceiling floodlights.

The Oslon SSL LED is an LED in the 1W class and meets the requirements for use in general lighting.

It has a low thermal resistance of 7K/W, which simplifies thermal management.

In addition to ultra-white (5,700- 6,500K), the LED will shortly be available in neutral white and warm white.

Its colour temperature will range from 2,700-4,500K.

The Oslon SSL is manufactured using the latest chip technology, ensuring a high luminous efficacy.

At an operating current of 350mA, this light source achieves a typical brightness of 110lm in ultra-white (5,700 and 6,500K), with a maximum possible luminous flux of 130lm at present.

At an operating current of 350mA and a colour temperature of 3,000K it achieves a typical efficiency of 75lm/W and a brightness of 85lm.

Brightness is 155lm at an operating current of 700mA (warm white).
