LT3799 LED controller
The LT3799 isolated LED controller from Linear Technology is designed for driving LEDs within a wide range of applications, including those off-line, and can be used with standard TRIAC in-wall dimmers.
LT3799 controllers can function without the need for an octo-coupler and feature active power factor correction (PFC) and a thermally enhanced MSOP-16E package.
The level of PFC they provide meets Department of Energy requirements and complies with the IEC 61000-3-2 Class C Lighting Equipment Harmonics requirement.
The LT3799EMSE is offered in a 16-pin MSOP package and prices begin at $2.25 each in 1,000‑piece quantities. An extended temperature version, the LT3799IMSE, is available from $2.59 per in 1,000‑piece quantities.
