LED-based edge-lit solutions
Global Lighting Technologies (GLT) has launched a range of LED-based edge-lit solutions to expand its offering into areas such as egress lighting and general illumination.
The edge-lighting solutions utilise high-efficiency LEDs that focus the light into a high-performance backlight, or light guide.
The LEDs are located on the edge of the light guide, which GLT said enables better optical control for colour and uniformity, fewer LEDs, better reproducibility, and the thinnest possible lighting solution.
The company continues to provide BLUs for LCDs, keyboards and keypads, utilising efficient LED-based edge lighting and slim BLUs for maximum brightness with optimum uniformity, superior colour mixing and a lower number of widely spaced, high-output LEDs with low-cost manufacturing and quick turnaround.
