Roll-to-roll printing
Design LED Products is participating in the EU Light-Rolls project, which is developing roll-to-roll printing processes for the manufacture of large-area flexible LED displays and lighting.
The project seeks to integrate solid-state LED chips and light guides to achieve large-area illumination.
Light-Rolls aims to offer a production solution by applying polymer-based production methods, chip-assembly methods and optimised interconnection technologies in a Roll-to-Roll manufacturing process.
The production process involves a roll of polymer film fed into a line of similar roll-to-roll processing equipment stages and finished product comes out in a roll at the end without any intervention.
