OLED displays
Densitron has launched a character-type alphanumeric OLED range for high display performance in an industrial environment.
The range consists of OLED displays in 2.26in (2 x 16 characters; PN: DD-2C16YW/WE-1A) and 2.93in (2 x 20 characters; PN: DD-2C20YW/WE-1A).
The OLEDs come with user-friendly connector boards and have a thin profile.
They also have low power consumption, up to 50K hours half-life time and an industrial operating temperature range of -40C to 80C.
The displays come with in-built font CGROM and a chip-on-glass configuration, offering a near 170deg wide viewing angle and a contrast ratio of 10,000:1.
Alphanumeric OLEDs are suitable for card reader, DAB, measuring equipment, point-of-sale and smart-meter applications.
These displays are pin-to-pin compatible with many character displays on the market and there should be no hardware or software configuration issues in most cases as the displays utilise standard 4/8-bit interface.
The displays are currently available in white and yellow, with Densitron offering a customisation service to meet individual colour requirements.
The OLED displays can be enhanced through Densitron's Engineering Design Service, which offers options on integrating standard or custom display modules with PCB, plastics and/or keypads.
