Bluewave LED solves typical light-system problems

Bluewave LED

The new Bluewave LED system from Intertronics addresses the major disadvantages of traditional light systems.

It has no bulbs, cures without adding heat and offers constant light intensity for thousands of hours without re-calibration.

This makes it ideal for visible light-spot curing of coatings as well as adhesive bonding of polycarbonate, PVC, PET, metal, glass and many other substrates.

The Bluewave LED generates light using an array of surface-mount LEDs instead of traditional metal halide or mercury bulbs.

The LEDs produce visible light energy in a relatively narrow wavelength-band centred at 410nm; a typical broad-band high-pressure UV bulb has a wavelength band of 300-500nm.

This system emits a maximum visible light-intensity output of more than 2,500mW/cm2 from an 8mm diameter lightguide and allows users to adjust intensity output from 0 to 100 per cent.

The relatively narrow band produced by LEDs generates cooler curing temperatures.
