Opnext HL6750MG
Laser diode is designed for use in medical applications, industrial and medical sensor light sources and as a light source for various other types of equipment.
Available now from Photonic Products, the Opnext HL6750MG 685nm laser diode is designed for use in medical applications, industrial and medical sensor light sources and as a light source for various other types of equipment such as distance meters, barcode scanners and high resolution CTP.
The Opnext HL6750MG visible laser diode is a 685nm AlGaInP laser diode with a multiple-quantum-well structure.
It has a high optical output power of 50mW CW, a small package size of 5.6mm and a built-in photodiode for monitoring laser output which allows for easier control of the auto power circuit.
An added benefit is the low operating current of 75mA which enables the power consumption to be lowered without sacrificing the high 50mW optical output power, resulting in greater energy efficiency, extended battery lifetime and significant cost savings for OEMs.
This has been achieved by optimising both the multiple-quantum-well structure and waveguide structure of the laser diode.
Supplied in a 5.6mm package, the Opnext HL6750MG is a single longitudinal mode laser diode with a high optical output power of 50mW CW at a visible wavelength of 685nm, low typical operating current of 75mA, low operating voltage of 2.3V, a low threshold current of 30mA, monitoring output current of 0.15mA and an operating temperature range of -10 to +70C.
It requires a negative (N type) power supply system.
The Opnext HL6750MG laser diode is lead (Pb) free in compliance with the RoHS Directive.
