Power monitor for laser applications
Fiberlogix
High-power laser applications
Fiberlogix has introduced products for high-power laser applications, all-in-line power monitor, isolators, polarisers, deolarisers, three- and four-port circulators and variable optical attenuators.
High-power isolators are designed to withstand up to 20W of CW.
The all-in-line power monitor is based on proprietary non-invasive IFOS technology.
Very minimal light is used to detect and measure the total light flowing in the fibre.
The in-line Polariser has been enhanced to cater for polarisation maintaining applications.
It offers extinction ratios of more than 55dB and the minimal insertion loss.
The size of the polariser has also been reduced down to 25 x 2mm.
Another new products is the variable optical attenuator.
This is based on IFOS technology; hence there are no moving parts.
If offers a very quick response time.
Finally, a range of three- and four-port circulators has been introduced.
These can be PM sensitive/insensitive.
Their design caters for high-power applications.
