Cool modules extend laser diode lifetimes
Prophotonix Laser Solutions
TEC laser diode modules
New thermoelectrically cooled laser diode modules offer exceptional wavelength and power stability, greatly increased pointing accuracy and significantly extended laser diode lifetime.
Photonic Products has made several new additions to its range ofthermoelectrically cooled (TEC) laser diode modules.
The newdevices offer exceptional wavelength and power stability (betterthan 1%), greatly increased pointing accuracy and significantlyextended laser diode lifetime.
The new TEC laser diode modulesproduce elliptical output beams and output powers of 8mW at 375nmultra-violet, 40mW at 980nm and 110mW at 808nm in the infra-redwavelength.
Photonic Products can also manufacture TEC moduleswith virtually any laser diode in a 9 or 5.6mm package.
If acustomer needs a particular custom wavelength or power that isnot offered as standard, the company can meet these requirements.Designed for applications demanding consistency and repeatabilitysuch as industrial inspection, high-resolution printing, reprographics, biomedical instrumentation, spectroscopy, microscopy and genomics, the TEC modules are compact, versatileand highly cost effective.
The modules incorporate microprocessorbased temperature control and laser driver electronics, thermoelectric cooler, heatsink and fan that enable the laserdiode temperature to be controlled to a set point temperaturebetween +18 and +25C (user adjustable), and with a stability of+/-0.05C.
All TEC laser diode modules in the range offer low andhigh temperature automatic shutoff protection, analogue anddigital modulation capability and safety interlock, as standard.
