TEC laser diode modules

Thermoelectrically cooled (TEC) blue/violet laser diode modulesfrom Photonic Products offer exceptional wavelength and powerstability (better than 1%), greatly increased pointing accuracyand significantly extended laser diode lifetime.

The TEC laserdiode modules produce elliptical output beams and output powersof 1.5mW in the 375nm ultra-violet, 4 and 25mW in the 405nmviolet and 4mW in the 440nm blue wavelength bands.

Designed forapplications demanding consistency and repeatability such asindustrial inspection, high-resolution printing, reprographics,biomedical instrumentation, spectroscopy, microscopy andgenomics, the TEC modules are compact, versatile and highly costeffective.

The TEC laser diode modules incorporate microprocessorbased temperature control electronics, thermo electric cooler,heatsink and fan that enable the laser diode temperature to becontrolled to a set point temperature between +15 and +25C (useradjustable), and with a stability of +/-0.05C.

This accuratetemperature control, together with user adjustment of the laserdiode drive current enables the laser to be tuned to a regionwhere mode hopping and RMS noise are significantly reduced oreliminated.

Accurate temperature control also produces excellentwavelength/power stability and cooling the laser diode to thefactory-set +20C significantly increases laser diode lifetime.All UV, violet and blue TEC laser diode modules in the rangeoffer low and high temperature automatic shutoff protection,analogue and digital modulation capability and safety interlockas standard.
