The new Weidmuller sales and marketing office, based at the Meridian Centre, Leicester, sees the arrival of Paul Boylin as head of product management in the UK.
Formerly business development manager for Envido, he will work on Weidmuller's product strategy and execution, combining feedback from sales, marketing, development, customers and prospects to set the strategic vision and lead the execution on new features and products.
Lesley Young has also joined the Weidmuller Leicester office, taking on the role of marketing communications manager.
Young, who has headed up departments in a variety of marketing communications roles - including Thomas and Betts, Nortel Optoelectronic and, most recently, examination board OCR - will be responsible for creating and implementing Weidmuller's brand communications strategy across the UK.
Weidmuller is a provider of solutions for electrical and electronic connectivity, transmission and conditioning of power, signal and data in industrial environments.
Via a network of applications specialists, the company offers engineering services and develops application-specific solutions.
In the UK, Weidmuller has offices based in West Malling, Kent, and at the Meridian Business Park in Leicester.
The company's headquarters are based in Detmold, Germany.
