Surtech launches range of power distribution units
Surtech Distribution
Power distribution units
Surtech Distribution has launched its own brand of power distribution units (PDUs) for mains-power distribution in free-standing or bayed racking systems or enclosures.
The PDUs are aimed at applications requiring controlled power distribution for the data communications, telecommunications and electronics markets and provide a cost-effective solution for applications where space is limited and cable management techniques are used.
They also suit applications that require power to be switched, filtered or monitored individually or by selected groups.
Surtech can factory fit the PDUs into racks or enclosures at the assembly stage, which reduces onsite commissioning time, according to the company.
Alternatively, units can be supplied direct to customers.
Surtech PDUs are available with a standard configuration of either 13A, IEC or Schuko outlets in both vertical and horizontal versions, suitable for mounting in 19in (48cm) racks.
Brackets can be fixed or adjustable, allowing them to be fitted in any type or rack or enclosure in whichever position suits the wiring layout.
Outlets and circuit accessories, including current monitoring and radio-frequency filters, can be positioned anywhere in the channel extrusion, which has a very low profile and takes up minimal space within the enclosure.
These PDUs have a clean design to complement modern cabinet layouts and standard configurations are available from stock for next-day delivery for any customer order placed before 15:30.
Surtech can also customise PDUs to order and deliver them either within short lead times or to dovetail with customers' production schedules.
