Solarspec panel-mount DC connectors
Molex has introduced IP67-sealed Solarspec panel-mount DC connectors, which feature a nut mechanism enabling simple assembly to the panel and providing a durable connection for cable attachment to solar inverters.
Set to be presented on the Molex stand (booth B7.A14) during the EU PV SEC conference, 5–8 September in Hamburg, Germany, the Solarspec panel-mount DC connectors have internal locking and multiple safety features.
Polarised panel cut-outs help prevent rotation of the connectors and ensure no cross-assembly of male and female connectors on the panel.
To prevent accidental and unauthorised decoupling of the connector during service, the Solarspec DC connectors use Molex’s NEC 2008 (690.33) and NFPA 70 US code-compliant interlocking mechanism.
