Yamaichi launches high-frequency connector system

Yamaichi Electronics

HF201 high-frequency connector

Yamaichi Electronics has extended its high-speed portfolio with a high-frequency coax antenna connector system.

The HF201 series consists of a one- or two-pin plug connector and an insulating body on the cable side.

The plug connector is SMT solder mounted on the printed circuit board.

The insulating body contains one inner and one outer contact, which are crimped to the coax cable.

The connector system has very small outer dimensions and can therefore be used for antennas, sensors or audio systems in which high technical requirements have to be fulfilled, with components having dimensions as small as possible.

A locking between the plug connector and the jack ensures the best transmission characteristics, even when exposed to shock and vibration stress, such as in vehicles, according to the company.

The extraction force goes up to 40N.

The HF201 system is suitable for high-frequency applications up to 2.5GHz and is designed for coaxial cables up to 50ohm.

The suitable cables can have a diameter of either 1mm or 1.5mm.

Yamaichi also offers the necessary tools, such as a semi-automatic crimp tool for the coax cable crimp.

A variety of other high-speed connector systems are also available, such as for the transmission of LVDS, HDMI or Firewire signals.
