Electronic interconnect manufacturer Samtec has added Superspeed USB 3.0 to its line of high-speed I/O solutions.
In addition to optimised power efficiencies, Superspeed USB 3.0 is said to offer performance advancements over USB with up to 10 times the data transfer rate.
Because the system remains cost-efficient and compatible with existing USB-enabled devices, it is said to be a solution to increasing demands for greater bus bandwidth and higher-performance connections in the consumer market.
Samtec now offers Superspeed USB 3.0 certified A-Type and B-Type receptacles (USB3-A and USB3-B series) with through-hole terminations.
The mating Superspeed 3.0 certified cable plug (USBC3 series) is available with an A-Type plug on the first end and a B-Type plug on the second end, in a choice of wire lengths.
A micro Superspeed USB 3.0 version (UUSB3 series) is also available.
Samtec's full line of high-speed I/O systems includes high-speed cable assemblies, standard and increased retention USB products, mod jacks, and transceiver interfaces.
