The Telegartner MFP8 field-assembled RJ45 plug is being offered as a solution for offices and data centres, as well as industrial and home networks,
Designed for situations where an existing network needs extending, a cable link needs to be repaired or replaced or a peripheral device needs to be connected quickly and simply, the MFP8 comprises two parts and can be assembled in three steps within 60 seconds, without any special tooling.
It is available in T568A (straight) or T568B (crossed) wiring colour codes and is compliant with IEC 60603-7-51.
It has been tested to exceed 750 mating cycles and is suitable for all networks, from voice through to 10 gigabit Ethernet, and supports high power over Ethernet (PoE+).
The plug that enables installers and network professionals to respond with speed and flexibility at very short notice, and means cable assemblies no longer have to be a fixed length and surplus cable is not wasted.
Due to the compact design and suitability for multiport applications, the MFP8 can also be used where space is at a premium.
The MFP8 can be used in industrial applications as the metal housing and 360deg shielding guarantees secure and reliable data transmission at all times.
The use of the full range of cable types with solid or stranded conductors from AWG24/1 to AWG22/1 and AWG27/7 to AWG22/7 makes it a universal product suitable for a range of purposes.
For home use, the MFP8 enables non-professionals to assemble and customise efficient and reliable connections as and when they are needed.
