ITT Interconnect Solutions has developed a low-cost 19-way commercial Pogo pin connector and cable assembly.
These meet the stringent electrical and mechanical specifications required in demanding environments, including medical test and diagnostic equipment such as diagnostic imaging systems.
Rated to IP 55, this new interconnect also suits other harsh-environment applications, including commercial-aircraft electronics, instrumentation and industrial equipment.
ITT ICS's 19-way Pogo pin interconnect features the company's Pogo pin technology, which achieves low contact resistance of less than 10mohm and ensures reliable and robust performance of more than 5,000 mating cycles.
The commercial Pogo cable assembly (including bulkhead, front mount, receptacle cable assembly, plug with RJ45 and in-line plug-to-jack assembly) also provides exceptional EMI shielding, with 100 per cent effectiveness through the entire assembly.
This harsh environment 19-way commercial Pogo pin connector features stainless-steel shells, snap-on breakaway coupling and an interfacial seal.
The interconnect's mating system is both tactile and audible, with an ergonomic grip to provide easier handling.
