ODU MAC range
Connector specialist ODU has added a pneumatic module to its hybrid MAC range.
The range allows users to build up connector systems that transmit electrical signals and provide compressed air for a range of processes.
Each module has two couplings, with the connection side incorporating M5 screw threads to allow the use of commercially available nipples, screw joints or quick-couplings.
A self-blocking version is also available, so as to avoid supply-line pressure drop.
Technical specification: 2.4mm module width air flow 90l/min, with pressure drop of 1-bar up to 12-bar operating pressure, with 100-bar burst pressure.
Approximate 10-N actuating force per module up to 5,000 mating cycles.
The ODU MAC range consists of rectangular modules in four sizes, available for transmitting LF/HF signals, power bus, fibre-optics and fluids.
Modules can be mounted together in a common frame and are particularly suited to docking applications.
