ODU updates the Mini-Snap plastic PC component
ODU
Mini-Snap
ODU has introduced a new version of its Mini-Snap plastic PC component, including a redesigned circular connector.
The new unit is plug-compatible with the previous version.
The inner design has been simplified to make assembling the connector easier, which reduces costs, as do the stamped contacts for the 0.7mm contact size.
Features include the availability of IP 50 / IP 50 + EMC protection or IP 67 / IP 67 + EMC protection, low insertion and withdrawal forces and protection against accidental contact when the connector is in the inserted position.
The lightweight product has been designed for up to 5,000 mating cycles and is available in three sizes with outer diameters from 12.5 - 19mm and 2 - 27 contact positions.
Loads can be up to 22A for a single contact.
Stamped and turned contacts are available and automatic packaging is possible for the stamped contacts.
Contact termination can be solder, crimp and PCB.
Housings are available in grey, black or white.
The material has a high chemical resistance.
Operating temperature range is -40 to +120C.
