Mas-Con IDC connector system
Lane Electronics has introduced a range of mass-terminated insulation displacement contact (IDC) connectors and mating headers together with a selection of application tooling and accessories.
The Mas-Con IDC connector system, which can be terminated to discrete wire or flat cable, is produced by ITW Pancon, a manufacturer of connectors for printed circuit boards (PCBs) and flat cable connections.
The Mas-Con system is available in 0.1in (2.54mm) and 0.156in contact pitches.
The 0.1in connectors can handle up to 4A per contact and are available in two to 36 ways.
The larger pitch connectors can handle between 8A and 12.5A per contact and are available in two to 24 ways.
The connectors are colour coded to identify the correct wire gauge and each connector incorporates a wire retainer to secure the wire in place prior to termination.
Connectors are available for through or end terminations and flat, polarised and locking header styles can be supplied in straight and right-angle configurations.
Accessories include covers, strain reliefs and polarising keys and the company can supply the full range of time- and labour-saving Pancon termination tooling.
Lane offers a variety of key connector types, including circular, filtered, radio frequency, coaxial, sub-miniature, backshells and adaptors, D connectors, aerospace, test and measurement, IDC, PCB connectors, edge connectors and connectors for rack and panel applications.
