Protection caps
ITT Interconnect Solutions has developed protection caps for PT/M26482 connectors, which can be fitted easily in extreme weather conditions.
The caps are suitable for military vehicles and military communications equipment, as well as non-military applications such as off-road vehicles and commercial electronics in exposed locations.
The PT ribbed connector caps have an arctic coupling nut, which is designed to provide extra grip for gloved hands, and features quarter-turn locking with an audible click to verify secure fixing.
The caps fit all M26482 style connectors/layouts and are made for panel mount, jam nut receptacles and plug variants.
Sizes 8 to 18 are available through ITT's distributors and sizes 20 to 24 on request.
In addition, there are numerous cord length and fixing ring variants.
Two finishes are available: olive drab green cadmium or black/green zinc cobalt.
