Intelliconnect offers RF connectors designed to have low VSWR and return loss
Intelliconnect
Millimetre Wave RF connectors
Intelliconnect has introduced Millimetre Wave RF connectors, which, designed for use in 50Ω systems, operate in the frequency ranges up to 110GHz, depending on the series.
These devices are constructed in such a way as to ensure the body engages before the centre conductor, in order to create a rugged and reliable mating interface.
The series designation refers to the diameter of the outer conductor and, generally, the smaller the outer contact, the higher the maximum operating frequency.
The Millimetre Wave connector range includes a 3.5mm diameter model with a maximum operating frequency of 34GHz; a 2.92mm diameter model with a maximum operating frequency of 45GHz; a 2.4mm diameter model with a maximum operating frequency of 50GHz; 1.85mm diameter model with a maximum operating frequency of 65GHz; and a 1mm diameter model with maximum operating frequency of 110GHz.
Key specifications
- Designed to have a low VSWR (voltage standing wave ratio) and return loss
- Air dielectric interface, with the contact supported by a short glass or polymer bead
- Can be configured to be terminated with flexible or semi-rigid cables
- Compatible with relevant standard Intelliconnect RF connectors
- Meet relevant connector Mil standard
- Operating temperature range: -65°C to 165°C
