High-power M12 connectors for industrial sensors

High-power M12 connectors
Binder has launched high-power versions of the M12 connectors for applications in industrial sensors, instrumentation, automation systems and similar equipment.
The high-power M12 connectors can carry up to 8A on each contact.
Previously, M12 connectors have been limited to 4A with a maximum cable diameter of 8mm and individual wire sizes of 0.75mm.
This meant that designers had to specify larger circular or more cumbersome connectors such as mixed-layout D types.
The Binder connectors have modified screw termination cable clamps to accommodate wires of up to 1.5mm.
With a larger cable output, cables up to 10mm diameter can be used.
The high-power Binder M12 connectors can carry 8A at 250V on the four-pole versions while the five-pole version can carry four 8A and one 2A at 125V.
The contacts are gold-plated in order to reduce the transfer resistance and lost heat value.
The connectors are rated at 100 mating cycles and are IP67 rated.
