DFM backshells protect cables from interference
ITT Interconnect Solutions
DFM backshells
ITT Interconnect Solutions has developed a metal backshell series for D-Subminiature connectors, which offers protection from electromagnetic and radio interferences to cable assemblies.
DFM Series metal backshells are very easy to assemble and fit, and are for use in industrial and telecoms applications.
Featuring a blue chromated zinc housing and a metal-filled plastic cable strain relief, guaranteeing 360-degree shielding, DFM Series metal backshells are competitively priced and do not require any crimp ferrule tooling.
Size 9, size 15 and size 50 components will be available from January 2009.
Size 25 and 37 devices will be added to the range in March 2009.
Fully RoHS-compliant, the backshells can be used over a wide operating temperature range, from -40 up to +120C.
