Circular connectors use MIL-quality contact system

The 32 AWG size wiring with Teflon insulation is terminated into 0.635mm pitch plastic insulated circular connectors, which can mate to surveillance camera and night-vision systems.

Omnetics connectors are lightweight and use the company's split-end contact, called Nano Flex Pin, which beats the specifications laid down in Mil-DTL 32139.

This ensures long-term reliability and high quality.

Shock and vibration performance data shows that these connectors offer constant signal fidelity even when subject to extremes of shock and vibration, such as during helicopter flights and the hard landings of UAVs.

Other popular applications of these nano-circular connectors include satellite communications equipment where size, weight and temperature are critical.

With a total mated length of 9mm and outer diameters ranging from 3.1mm to 5.5mm, these small connectors withstand temperature variations from -55 to +125C.

They feature polarised hard gold-plated contacts shrouded in Omnetics' liquid crystal polymer housing to MIL-M-24519, making them capable of more than 2,000 mating cycles.

Omnetics' circular nano connectors are spaced on 0.635mm centrelines and are available in six, 11, 16 and 28 position housing sizes with either pre-wired or solid straight tail terminations.

Omnetics is able to supply elaborate wire harnesses, flex overmoulding and custom shells as an option.
